Getting Started
Before You Begin
Before launching VisApex for the first time:
- Position your webcam above or below your monitor or TV.
- Keep the camera near the horizontal center of the display whenever practical.
- Make sure your face is clearly visible with no significant obstructions.
- Sit in your normal driving or flying position.

First Launch
When you start VisApex for the first time, the Setup Wizard will guide you through the initial configuration.
The wizard will help you:
- Select your webcam.
- Choose the desired video quality.
- Optionally select a motion preset that best matches your preferred simulation type.
After completing the wizard, VisApex is ready to use.
Start Head Tracking
Each time you use VisApex:
- Sit in your normal driving or flying position.
- Click Start.
- Look straight at your monitor.
- Click Center to calibrate your neutral head position.
You can re-center tracking at any time while playing if needed.
For added convenience, you can assign a keyboard shortcut to Center in the Controls tab.
Fine-Tune Motion
VisApex provides several options to customize head tracking behavior.
You can adjust settings such as:
- Enable or disable individual motion axes.
- Invert axis directions.
- Sensitivity.
- Response curves.
Most users can begin with the default settings or one of the included motion presets, then fine-tune the motion later as needed.
