F1 2016 — Head Tracking Not Supported
Status: Incompatible — Tested
F1 2016 has been tested with VisApex, but we were unable to get head tracking working with the game.
Some third-party sources suggest that F1 2016 supports head tracking. However, we could not reproduce this support with either VisApex or opentrack.
We also could not find any first-party documentation or confirmation from the game’s developer that F1 2016 supports head tracking. Contemporary community discussions from around the game’s release reported that head tracking was not supported, and subsequent F1 2016 patch notes do not appear to document head tracking support being added later.
F1 2016 did not support head tracking in our testing, despite some third-party sources suggesting otherwise. We could not find first-party confirmation that this functionality was supported.
We list F1 2016 explicitly as Incompatible to help users avoid spending time trying to configure head tracking based on conflicting information.
Found a Working Method?
There may be a configuration, game version, or workaround that we have not identified.
If you have successfully used head tracking with F1 2016, we’d be interested to hear about your setup.
If we can reproduce a working method, we can retest F1 2016 with VisApex and update its compatibility status.
